QFREB News > Unemployment remains low in Quebec in May

According to Statistics Canada’s Labour Force Survey, 4,327,900 jobs (seasonally adjusted) were held in Québec in May 2019, which represents 11,600 fewer jobs than the previous month. Compared to May of last year, this number represents an increase of 60,100 jobs.

The unemployment rate in Québec increased very slightly in May at 5.0 per cent, a historically low level.
