According to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), monthly home sales were down 16.2 per cent in May 2018 compared to the same month of last year.

The average price for all residential MLS® properties sold in Canada in May 2018 was slightly over $496,000, down 6.4 per cent from one year earlier. The national average price is heavily skewed by sales in Greater Vancouver and Greater Toronto, two of Canada’s most active markets. Excluding these two markets, the national average price sits close to $391,000.
